to all of my fellow sailors for the prompt resonse to my urgent cries for help. I did indeed have a blocked pickup in fuel tank. I also had a blocked primary fuel filter. I also had a block fule pump which I removed and cleared. I also had a blocked engine fuel filter. It took me at least 8 hours to figure out and I am glad I have had the experience close to my home port. There are not many people out there who will help unless you sell your first born. I never dreamed that a fuel line blockage would occur so quickly and so completely. I had been through some really choppy water at the Bay Bridge while watching the marvellous Tall Ships. Loss of power and an eventual engine stall came quickly afterwards. Thanks once again. John North

Now, how about.....

Congrats on getting it all worked out, I have followed the thread in case this happens to me in the future. Couple of questions/suggestions: Did you clean the tank? Sounds stupid, but all that crud came from somewhere right? Are you going to start using biocide? This assumes that the crud was organic and not just bad diesel. Again, congrats on a hard job done right, hope the tall ships were a great sight and the fuel experience didn't put too much of a damper on it. Regards. Bruce Neon Moon
