Wheel bearing grease.
Hello Bert, I have seen where wheel bearing grease is used. When it is packed into the top portion of the grease portal the top is screwed down forcing the grease into and around the packing material, which is contained in the bronze fitting the shaft passes through. For some reason I was unable to pull the picture up so I assume you have a standard grease portal as I described above. Hope this helps. Kevin
