i am in the prosses of replacing the stuffing box material in my 1980 hunter 27//what size stuffing box material should i use//any help would be great//tom
Tom, I did my H-27 over 2 years ago and as I recall, It takes 1/4" flax. Maybe 3/16...but I'm betting on 1/4. I used the silicone impregnated stuff with silicone paste. This is a pretty easy job with the right tools.
