Does the stuffing box require grease on my Catalina 310?

There appears to be an opening on the side of the stainless steel collar were a zurk fitting may have been???? Or it may just be a recesses set screw???

No problems, just wondering if there is any maintenance associated with this???

I didn't take a picture of it however when I purchased the boat the Surveyor noted it as dripless. It does look like a PSS however there is no drain hose coming from it.

It's a 2000 Catalina 310.

Sounds like an older PSS that does not have the vent line. If it is a PSS, the hole you see in the collar is a set screw. The only maintenance it needs is to replace the rubber bellows periodically (PYI recommends every 6 years, but many choose to stretch this), and "burp" the bellows when the boat is put back in the water after a haulout - this is essential if you have the older type seal without a vent.

Thanks!

I think I may need to go burp the PSS. Didn't know it was required after a haul out. :/
