Stuck Seidelmann 245 centerboard

Looking for suggestions to remedy a problem I have with the retractable centerboard on my
Seidelmann 245 that continually gets stuck in the up position. I only raise it partially when docked and it will still gets stuck, usually with full-moon low tides, which results in swimming under the boat to pull it down. But often it is impossible to pull it down. Any help is appreciated.

You need to make sure there isn't any growth, rocks or anything else in the centerboard case, this is a common problem, especially with daggerboards that have an open slot on the deck (you said centerboard so probably not the case). Assuming the pivot mechanism is ok, it's either that or your centerboard is thicker somehow (swelling, growth etc).
