Coming into cross tide cross wind slip - wind blowing 18 k transmission lever stuck in
forward. With great effort and some time manage to pull it out of forward. Exciting times. If this has happened to you did you find problem
at the lever area or was it somewhere down the line ie., cable to tranny exit -
cable to transmission - transmission? Appreciate your answers.

Only thing I can guess is that the throttle was not at idle, if the revs are up the transmission ‘may’ not change gears.
Does it work ok when you try it now?
Cheers

Clyde,

All of the above.

Also: Have you checked the transmission fluid level?

On way up back to marina lost rpms so only doing about 1.8 knots Throttle all way forward could not
increase rpms. Think slippage of cable in sheath. Fairly low rpms trying to get in slip. After managed
to free lever could shift ok. Will check when return to boat Saturday. When lever stuck throttled back
to about 800 rpms. Still could not free at that time.
