OK I'm curious

Do they have a website? Aside from making it easier to raise the main, what else does it do? Better or worse sail trim? How long does it take to install?

On our 42

we installed it to make the sail fall easier. One must send his mainsail in to have the articulated slides installed. Installing the track is very simple.

Put it on my 380

I put it on my 380 and did it myself. Took about two hours with about 10 minutes of help from a second pair of hands at one point. Best investment ever, makes raising and lower and reefing sooooo much easier. Expensive though, but what isn't with sailing. At the end you ask yourself was it worth it? Absolutely! Good Luck, Bob Knott H380

Cost

The cost that we were quoted was $1200 for a Passage 42. It's suppose to be about 1/2 the price of a Harken system. I don't mind spending the money if it works. Besides it's cheaper than a furling main.

Do you have a friend who...

Don't forget all manufacturers give dealers 25 - 30 % off if they order it. Do you have someone who can order it for you that won't charge the markup and will let you do the work yourself. Thats what i did and it saved me over $300 on my H380 All in all looking at how much we enjoyed having the strong track last year i would've paid the full retail too and still not been dissapointed, best of luck Bob Knott h380

Installing systems this weekend

Sailmaker pal of long standing recommended it to me; has demo is loft and I liked what I saw enough to buy the system. Installing it this weekend on my 78h30. Will take pix and let you know how it works out, but all I know who have system love the thing. Just got real tired of fighting main up and then down again.
