Stripping bottom paint

I would like to remove one coat of bottom paint from a 1985 Macgregor 25. The paint was applied about 12 years ago and is very worn (photo attached). The boat will rarely be sailed in salt water so I will wax the bottom when the paint is removed. What is the least expensive paint stripper I can use for this job? How about M.E.K. solvent? Would this do the job or would it harm the fiberglass? I don't want to spend $90 a gallon for stripper which is what it costs at my local boat dealer.

Bottom Paint Removal

I was in the same position, when I got my MAC19. Bottom paint almost off and now I keep it on it"s trailer. I used a product called Dad's Easy Spray, Paint, stain and Varnish Remover. It comes with it's own hand pump spayer. Sprays on in a fine mist. Leave on a few minites and the old paint starts to run down. Wash off with water. It works for me, and price is reasonable. I got the product in the paint section at WALMART. Check it out. Richard
