The blue stripes across the cabin of my 1985 Hunter 25.5 are cracked and faded. I can't tell if they're stick-on or painted. Any thoughts on how I can remove them and re-install or re-paint new ones?

They are decals...

and you can get replacements I think from Hunter. You can remove the old decals with an erarer pad (link below), folks say that this is about the best way of removing old cracked decals.

Still looking OK

The stripes on my '87 Hunter 23 are still pretty good, seems like a good time to do something to preserve them. Any suggestions? Thanks. Mac

Sign Shop

If you are unable to get the stripes/graphics from Hunter you can visit the local sign shop. Take a sample of the stripes with you, measure things carefully and tell them what font you want for lettering. I replaced the HUNTER lettering on my 23.5 last year. I ordered them from an online sign site. Hunter Marine still had the stripes in stock so I bought a roll from them. I had no problem at all removing the old stripes/letters with fingers and a razor blade. Good Luck
