Anyone have cracks like this under the compression post? On my Hunter 28.5. If so, what are the recommended repairs?
Not good!
You will need to take the compression post out, chisel all of the rotten wood out. Then cut a piece of hardwood to fit the chiseled out area and epoxy it in place. Seal the wood and gel coat. This will take an entire weekend to fix .

Mast has to come off. How that occurred is a question. Is the tuning banjo tight? The best to find out is to address the help line as the person is a former Hunter employee would be a better source. Doubt Wood is under the fiberglass
