Strider's" Christmas Tree was this one with a huge eagle sitting in the top for over half an hour this morning.

We're in beautiful Steamboat Creek and about to move on about 20 miles to Mosquito Creek for Christmas Dinner.

Visiting Charleston and preparing for the holidays and Barbara's visit has kept me behind on my posting and correspondence but I'll try to bring you all up to date soon.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all my readers.

Merry Christmas Roger. You are on the north side of Edisto Island. We have vacationed on the south end at Edisto Beach. It is a very quiet retreat compared to the favorites like Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head. Cannot imagine sharing Christmas breakfast with an eagle. And you continue to have the mild weather.

On the way up to our Christmas anchorage this morning, we saw a dozen Portuguese Man-of-War's in the South Edisto River.

Later, in the land cut, we saw a huge wild boar running along the spoil island dyke. He was clearly pacing us just as a dog inside a fence does to protect it's territory. He was a very mean looking customer and I have no doubt would have attacked us and the dog if we had gone ashore.

Dangerous creatures seems to be the theme for this Christmas Day.

We are now anchored here and about to go over to Serendipity to help prepare and eat Christmas Dinner:
