You can see my present berth on the CBL webcam:

It's an active webcam that you can pan around the area at this link:

Last night, you could have seen a beautiful wooden buy boat loaded about ten feet high with oyster shells tying up at the other side of the Tee dock from me. It left early this morning.

I'll be going out on the "Rachel Carson" Monday and Tuesday to watch the buoy arrays visible at the bottom of the picture being deployed and other gear retrieved.

I won't wave. It's raining.

The weather looks beautiful today (Saturday) but your boat is closed up and you are offline. I played with the "joystick" control. That is really fun.

Take a look Monday morning. The "Carson" will be leaving between 0730 and 0800.

I just got back from a walk up to West Marine to buy a couple of shackles. It will be a beautiful sailing day but I'm feeling lazy.

Roger I see JMS Naval Architects has designed a new RV for use on the Great Lakes up in my neck of the woods called the FRV Grayling.

USGS to Receive New Great Lakes Research Vessel

The U.S. Geological Survey awarded a contract for the construction of a large research vessel for Lakes Huron, Michigan, and Superior to Burger Boat Company of Manitowoc, Wis. The vessel will replace the 38-year-old Grayling, bringing the USGS Great Lakes Science Center (GLSC) large vessel
