strictly sail show??

i noticed on the shows web site it dosnt have west marine as a exhibitor. if anyone goes to the baltimore show this week let me know if they are there and what specials they have. last year in chicago they had lifeslings for $59. i didnt want to carry it around with me and thought i would go back the next day but didnt. i was hoping they were going to offer them again (i know, what a cheap skate).

I don't believe they were there last year nor are planning on being there this time either. I believe Defender is also going to be absent.

I was just at west marine a week ago and the manager told me he hasnt even heard that they were going to be at strictly sail. I was actually asking him what sales were gonna be. He didnt think they were having specials this year if they even are going.

West Marine was at the Chicago show, I did not see Defender. WM was one of the few places that had lots of stuff for sale. Sailcare did too. It was disappointing to see many, many stalls (like New England Ropes) where they had a pretty display, but apparently nothing for sale.
