removehtml]Okay, it's just around the corner and I'm planning on going again this year. I'm taking my crew with me and we're using it as a kickoff for planning for this years Chicago-Mac race. Now, I've been before, but always to look at the boats and to do a little equipment shopping. I've never attended any of the seminars. I see that some of them have registrations, but what about the rest? Are they first come, first serve? Has anyone else out there been to a Strictly Sail show and attended one of their seminars? TJ- Yes, there are a few seminars that you need to pre-register. The ones that don't are first come first serve. I have always attended SS on Thursday's and have never found an issue with the seminars being packed. I'm sure Saturdays that might be the case. Enjoy. Rob Hessenius

Spinnaker Seminar
Which one? That's one that I intend to drag my crew to. We're going on Saturday and will be at the 11:45 Spinnaker Handling and Trim seminar. Maybe we'll run into you there. T J

Chicago Strictly Sail
We will be at the show on Thursday and Friday and will take in three seminars. The seminars we have attended in the past have all been excellent. If you don't like crowds go on Thursday. We were there last year on a Thursday and were able to visit at will with the exhibitors. We were able to talk to Jack Klang for over an hour without interruption.

We have spent 3 days at Strictly Sail every year for the last 12 years. We really enjoy the show. We look at boats on Friday when it is not too busy. We attend seminars on Saturday when the townies are looking at boats. We have never failed to get in any seminar we wanted to attend on Saturday. LMHSA gets together for dinner Saturday night. On Sunday we work the booth for the Lake Michigan Hunter Sailing Association and then do any shopping we have saved up for the Show. We really enjoy the weekend. Marybeth & Rip
