Strictly Sail Boat Show at Navy Pier in Chicago

I talked to my Hunter Dealer, Racine Riverside, in Racine, WI this morning. They are taking 4 boats to the show next weekend (Feb 1-3), 2 Hunters, a Gibsea and a Dufour. My wife and I (Hunter 31) and friends (Hunter 34) are going down for the weekend. We would love to get together with other Hunter enthusiasts for dinner Friday or Saturday night. Does Hunter Company or the Lake Michigan Hunter Group have anything going on? We are staying at the Holiday Inn City Center, 300 E. OHIO STREET. We will be touring boats all day Friday and attending seminars Saturday and Sunday.

Would love to pick your brain. We have only had our '31 for one season but we love it so far. We raced every Friday night out of Milwaukee harbor with a local club. We only took a few short weekend cruises last year but we have a two-week cruise planned for this summer. Dulcinea II was in very good shape but we found a few things we could add to make her our own. We added RayMarine instruments, battery monitor, tv/vcr, cockpit speakers, BoomKicker, closed-cell cockpit cushions(BottomSiders), pushpit flag pole. This year we will have to replace the batteries. I was correct in suspecting they were poor. This winter I have been testing them and they definitely do not hold a full charge. We are interested in updating our Line Drive roller furling unit with a continuous line version. And our bimini is too small. So we have lots of looking to do at the boat show. We got a good deal last year on the cushions and BoomKicker. We also enjoy looking at the new boats and imagining how to improve our own.
