Does anyone have the recommended location for the straps from the lift. I want to mark the hull and am not sure of the best location. The boat is stored on the original stand. Thanks for any information. Gerry H31 Two Drifters

Gerry, Hunter has been very good about...

placing strap signs just below the toe rail on their boats. I have to hang over the rail just to see them. Ours are located in front of and behind the keel, but in front of where the prop shaft exits the hull. Terry

Hoisting Straps

Can you be more specific? Are they painted just below the toe rail? Thank you Ed

Tap the Hull

Tap the hull till you locate the main bulkheads. Then make sure you are not where the sterngear can be fouled by the strops, nor where the slope of the bow would cause the strop to slide forwards on a slippery hull when under load. The strops should be tied together anyway, but make sure they do this.

Ed, both our current and previous boat...

are the same. Hunter probably used a self adhering sign that is about 3/4 inch wide by two inches long. If you were to hang over the toe rail right beneath it you would see them, port and starboard, just in front of and behind the keel. Terry

Stripe removed

The stripe on my boat has been removed and there is no decal. I am concerned with proper placement of the straps and if not properly placed interference with the pads on the stand. Can anyone supply a measurement for the locations. I am just trying to prepare for taking the boat out at the end of the season. Thanks again for the responses. Gerry
