Last year (summer of 2001) when I received my new H260 I noticed a strange deposit of material on the hull inside the cabin. The material almost looks like dried coke syrup and it started appearing on the inside of the hull under the cabin seats. I was able to remove it using fantastic and a brush. In no way was this any type of mold. I took my boat out of the water last week and noticed the substance on the inside hull walls by the fresh water tank. I am beginning to think that maybe this "syrup" has something to do with the fiberglass curing. I was wondering if any other Hunter owners have made similar observations and have found out what this stuff is. Appreciate any info? Bob

Glue at seam

When they put the deck pan on top of the hull they put a dark glue in the seam that runs around the hull at the rub rail line. They then bolt the two pans together. I saw this done at the factory in October. They claim the glue will hold the two parts by itself. This could be leaking excess "dried" glue into the interior.

Foam

I think you may find this is run off from the foam they inject or pour in.
