The work on my PT 1/4 is comming along nicely.
The hull and deck is all sanded (ready for the warm weather).
The cabin is slowly coming together, but I gotta tell you, it's not been easy. For some reason each project is a struggle??!! (I find this intresting. I've built my house from a pile of wood, can repair most anything, maybe it's cuz I draw it up inside the boat under the tarps, climb down the ladder, head to the work shop, measure, cut, sand, paint, haul it all the way to the boat back up the ladder struggle under the tarp, stuff it down the campionway, only to find it needs to be trimmed 1/4")!
The sleeping area in the bow is done, the area for the portable head is all planned out, I've figurd out the sink, now the stove.
On my PT, there is 2 fiberglass boxes on the sides of the hull in the center of the cabin. One is for the sink and the other is gonna be for a single burner propane stove (ala camping stove).
I got it all figured out how to set the burner in place, etc.
but today on the way to work I started to think......
"What happens if a wave comes into her whilist my coffee water is cooking?
How do you secure the cooking utensile"?
The coffee pot can secured by a small brass chain to the top of the cabin but say a pan????
I've never been inside a "real" liveable boat to see how and whys. I've looked at pics on line, but can't really see what I need to see.
All this is new to me, so I just don't have the experience to draw upon.
So,
how do you secure you pan/pot to the stove, or do you?
Joe
Now that I have to do it, I've no idea of HOW to do it??!!
