Stove Dimensions

Does anyone know the dimensions of the stove that originally came in a MK I Catalina 30? I got rid of mine when I first got the boat and forgot to measure it before I did:facepalm:. I'm looking to make a wooden box to put a small cook top on with drawers underneath and need to know what size to make it so it will still swing when under way. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

That sounds interesting. As I thought about it, would having drawers underneath a cooktop turn them into a convenient catch for drips, grease and boil overs, not to mention spills when that annoying Seadoo goes buzzing past your boat again...

I was going to put a catch tray on the top with a lip so the cook top would be recessed in. Also I am just going with a portable camping style for now.

Interesting. I would enjoy seeing the design.
I have been using a butane burner, while I finish the refit of the Force10 that came on my boat. Other than going through cans of butane, the burner is excellent as a cooking unit. I bought a brand used commercially in food establishments. Well built and quick to set up or put away.

I can check for you tomorrow when I visit Luna. I have a 79 with a 3 burner stove/oven. Here is a pic.

Looks serviceable. I had one in my 1974 boat. Decided I wanted to replace the gas line, regulator, fittings, etc before I attempted to fire her up. While in the process the butane burner and dinner at restaurants/with friends has sufficed. Now with a plan for a long voyage on the horizon, finishing up the install is high on the priority list.

Nope. It's actually a very good use of the space. My 1980 C-30 came that way from the factory with an Origo on top of the drawers. The whole thing gimballed. I kinda miss it as the 387 has very little drawer space in the galley.
