storm main

Has any one fitted a seperate track for a storm main? Does the fact
that it will be off center pose and problems?

When I have experimented with a hoisting a trysail ( or more
properly a "facsimile" trysail) I ran a lacing from the sail around
the mast, similar to the way an old gaff rig would be rigged. It
doesn't seem that it would be difficult to design a such a system
provided there were no mast steps to contend with.
