My new to me H34 has a Storm Jib with a luff tape for the furler. However, I have heard it can be very difficult to get the Genoa down if not done before the wind picks up.
I have hank on storm jib that I bought when I thought I was buying an H31 without a furler. My H34 has both a Staysail halyard and a spinnaker halyard in addition to the Jib Halyard.. I was wondering if I could attach the Staysail halyard to the furler attachment at the bow and tighten as a stay to hank the storm jib onto. I would use the Spinnaker halyard as the storm jib halyard.
Would this work for me.?
Thanks,
Larry
