Storage compartment

I just purchased a 25.5 and I am in the process of cleaning out all the storage areas to find out what is useable and what is needed to be trashed. What I need to know is. what is the storage area for in the bottom of right side cockpit storage locker, it has a wooden cover and it is to the rear of the water storage tank. Thanks "MIC" also where can I locate a experienced 4 stroke motor 8-10 hp (I dont like the two stroke)

Pretty Sure...

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's where your cooler of margaritta mix goes. Others may store their dock lines, bumpers, anchors, sailbags, etc.

Little Bilge

I too have purchased a 25.5 recently and have had all kinds of fun cleaning and fixing up stuff this spring. I would think that storage compartment you refer to is a small bilge to capture and water that finds its way into the cockpit locker. It would likly end up there rather than in the quarter berth. I plan on keeping mine empty and accessible with a hand pump. A big slop of a wave would find its way under the seat lid...though rain water seems to not.
