window leaks

I just re-did the windows on my 26 which are 5mm plexi-glass in a two piece aluminum frame.I dont know if yours are similar in construction but here's what I did. After completely dissmantling the window I got some new rubber channel from a glass shop and put it around the edge of the plexi with the joint at the top. Then I soaped it up and pressed the window into the lower aluminum frame. Then pressed on the upper frame and screwed them back together.I dry fit the window into the opening and masked off with tape around the frame. Finally I used a good grade silicon and ran a bead around the inside of the frame were it will contact the cabin. With the window back in place and evenly tightend down I wiped off the excess sealant that squeezed out and peeled off the tape.
