After checking the items that were suggested to check regarding the no water problem with my Raritan IIe head, I have narrowed down the problem to the intake water line. The seacock and the pump are fine. It seems that there is either an air leak in either the water hose or at the vent. What is the purpose of the vent? Can it be bypassed and the intake hose connected directly from the seacock to the head? Can the vent have an air leak?

Where is the vent?

If there's a vented loop in the intake line (purpose: to break a siphon and prevent the bowl from overflowing if the seacock is left open when the head isn't in use...It's supposed to allow air to enter the line...that's how it breaks a siphon), it must be between the pump and the bowl. If it's between the seacock and the pump, it will prevent the head from priming--which is what you're experiencing. If that's not the case, the problem is in the head itself...in which case I recommend you talk to Raritan tech support...'cuz it could be one (or more) of several problems.
