Stiff/sticking rope clutches

Does anyone have a solution for stiff and/or sticking rope clutches. I recently purchased a Hunter 34 and the clutches are VERY tight, contrary to their brand name Easylock. I am able to open them, with a lot of effort, and close all but one back. I tried lubricating the pivot pins and that helped with the movement after unlocking them but the problem is at the lock and unlock. Is there something I can do to remedy this?

Line size

Someone may have increased the size of the lines, or they may not compress as well as when new.

Not the best clutches around!

We had these clutches on our H'31. They were not the best when they were new. I suggest that you flush them out with high pressure water when they are in different positions (maybe remove the line too.The spray them with McLube. If this does not cure your problem contact Garhauer. They make excellent units that are guaranteed for 10 years at a very reasonable price. ($200 for a quad unit)
