Steve: thanks for the photos....my tank seems to be somewhat different from yours in that my pickup tube is about in the location where you placed the port, so I may have to work around that...anyway, your photos really help, thanks much

and thanks for the "e-Components International" tip(Related Link). They make exactly the type of gauge that was used in my H37C('79) water tanks. Since they are long since corroded and need replaced I have a decision to make, remote or not. "Not" means lifting a salon cushion and unscrewing an inspection port to read the gauge, probably with a flashlight. Remote means running wiring and the added expense. And time. What to do?
