For the past year I have been searching a small water leak around my dripless shaft seal. I finally isolated it to water coming from underneath the fuel tank and not from the shaft seal. On a B361, Beneteau lays a shaft log in the hull and then does multiple pours of resin to seal the log to the hull. Of course the shaft runs through the log (tube). Salt water was infiltrating outside the tube where the tube enters the small skeg and migrating upward through a channel caused by the multiple resin pours. This apparently happens on some boats and not on others. The solution was to haul the boat, route out the area where the tube exits the skeg and put a good bead of 4200 quick dry.
