When my '94 comes out of the water in a month or so for bottom paint I am also going to replace the original stuffing box with a PSS dripless. Before I put my calipers on the stern tube does any other 295 owner know the diameter? And does anyone have any installation tips, pitfalls etc. I've been to the PYI site and it's all quite clear, but anything peculiar to the 295 would be a help. Bob Gillan; S/V Far Bugle

i called hunter and they sais 1.75 for my 28.5....callthem to check..i recieved the shaft seal last week but didn't install yet..they give you tips in the instrctions..looks easy..good luck..schaefer

I did it..

..om my 29.5, 4 years ago and am perfectly satisfied. I don't remember the prexise stern tube diameter , but it fit a standard PSS tube . no problem about instalation , I did it myself as per the instructions (follow them exactly ).Not a single drop since , and no need yet for any parts replacement.
