Anyone put a stern rail on an O'day 22? Either just on one side or a full rail any info is appreciated. I have seen a few pictures of 22's with one but it is not a stock item as far as I can tell. D and R Marine stocks them for the 19, the 192, the 222, and the 23 and if anyone has used any of these on the 22 please let me know how it worked.

David: I had a 23' Challenger Clipper which didn't have a stern rail (push pit). I went to a local (Port Huron,Mich.) area fabricator and had him build a push pit for me. All I did was draw up the dimensions of the area the push pit would sit on and he fabbed the rail from there. It is made of 1" stainless tube with welded joints. He provided all of the fasteners and I installed it in a day. I have since sold the boat so I don't know the name of the guy or his business but if you get on the web there ought to be someone who will build one for you. Keep in mind that the material is quited flexible so even if you measure a bit off, there is enough "give" in the unit to allow a nice looking installation. Good Luck, Mike, S/B PitterPat, Lake Huron
