stern rail seats and antifouling paint

My wife and I are strongly considering the purchase of a 1995 Hunter 23.5. We have been given conflicting answers about whether or not stern rail seats can be installed. We also want to know how often antifouling paint should be applied and is there a preferred method and brand? Thanks in advance for you help.Sincerely,Monte Brown

Stern Rail Seats

Absolutely can be installed, I did mine last spring call Hunter to order them they are $650 plus freight and if you are handy with a drill and a wrench they are not too bad to install. The bottom paint is an absolute must down here. It is generally done about every 2 or maybe 3 years by most of the folks I know. You would get much better answers on that from other folks where you will keep the boat than from all of us spread across the country on this site.

buying a 23.5

I am also looking at a '95 23.5, on its seconmd owner and kept in salt water. Not sure of pricing as I'm just starting to look at used Hunters. This one includes trailer, 8hp Merc, Bimini. What is a fair price for this, in good condition but probably needing bottom painted? What are you paying for yours? This one lists at $11,000 and that seems a little high.Thanks-Bob
