I have just purchased a new Cat 42 MKII. The stern lazaretts are huge! I am looking for ideas to modify them to better accomodate safe and organized storage. Any help would be appreicated.

BC10, Congrats on your new boat. I love the lazerettes on the 42. I just get inside them and arrange things neatly on the shelf provided. Sashay has stainless grab handles mounted to the underside of the lazerette covers/hatches. Extra lines, fender lines, etc. are secured to the grab handles and when the cover/hatches are closed, everything just hangs neatly down into the lazerette. To retrieve a fender, just untie its lanyard and pull it out. Buy all means visit the C-42 website and post your question there. I am sure there are tons of solutions other owners have come up with.
