On my boat, there are not chocks on the stern for dock lines. Has anybody installed these? Is there a difference between bow chocks and ones for the stern? I shopped for them and see alot of bow chocks but nothing stating stern chocks or mid ship chocks. What type are recommended, angled or straight? Thanks all Greg

Straight appears to be the recommendation

Greg, I did a few searches and found the attached link. They recommend a straight chock for the stern. The only time I've ever seen stern chocks is on a tug boat or a naval vessel, but they make good sense if you're having issues with your lines slipping. Dave

Stern Chocks

Greg, I think the later 36's and I know the 38 has a higher toerail so they incorporated stern and midship chocks right into the rail. Sorry no pic in my file. The link will take you to something called a stern chock.
