I bought a cd player and 4 speakers for my 89 c25 where there was previously none and am wondering who else out there has done this and where they installed things. Thanks for any insight, Dave R

No holes please

Dave, My only suggestion would be, don't cut any holes in the cockpit for flush mounted speakers. All though they may look good for a few years, at some point you will want to remove them or replace them. For cockpit speakers, use all weather enclosures that you can mount in out of the way places. Stainless steel clamps offer good attachment to stern rails. I also tend to route speaker wires through vent and other orfices so I don't have to drill holes in the cockpit.

that's what I'm thinking Patrick

Hi Patrick, A good suggestion for sure! I've got 2 6x8's that I'll flush mount in the cabin probably, but for the cockpit I have 2 6 1/2" marine boxed that I'll run unplugable wires to through vents. Thanks for the advise, Dave

Cabin layout

FOB, I just bought an '84 C27 and the cabin looks identical to yours. We are in the process of setting up the cabin - it needs a stove,CD/DVD/TV and speakers.Any chance of gettng more photos of your boat. Currently we carry on a portable TV. Any ideas would be appreciated.I'm in to a lot of trial and error-want to do it right the first time. Thanks,Will
