Stereo/DVD Audio Switch?

I am time-sharing a hunter 33 - 2005 which has the DVD/TV option along with the AM/FM/CD stereo system. The problem I have is that when I use the stereo with either the tuner or CD I get no audio out of the speakers but I know the tuner is working or the CD is playing. I increment the volume and see the volume bars increment but still no audio.

Is there an audio switch somewhere that switches the speakers between stereo and the dvd player?

The sound for the DVD comes through the TV speakers, it's only the stereo/cd player that comes though the speakers in the cabin, so your issue is with the stereo or wiring itself. I don't have the original unit in mine anymore, so can't remember if there is a mute or something you are not doing. Check for a manual which might in with the Hunter manual and all the other manuals on board ?

Thanks for the note on the DVD sound coming through the TV speakers. I should have known that.

I still can't get the CD sound to come out trough the stereo, though. I got it to work on one sail and then on another sail no sound. Hard to believe the wiring is messed since the boat is still relatively new. I did notice that when i flip the circuit breaker to switch the stereo off i can here a short beep through the speakers.
I will check the manual for troubleshooting tips and keep debugging.
