1974 25' fin keelEach year I put up the mast with the help of a friend and think "there must be an easier way." I first hook up the rear most side stays and the stern stay. Then I stand in the cockpit, just aft of the tiller and hold the mast above my head while he puts the bolt through. Then I walk forward, pushing the mast up until vertical. He steadies it while I quickly attach the roller furling and the remaining side stays. I've heard about using what I think is called a "wiffle tree" but don't know anything more. Can someone help? There must be the perfect method.
