is the boat on the water on on a cradle...

Because if the boat is on the water... I would not try the gin pole method... too much mast. Instead I would use the marina crane if they have one... (most marinas in TX have a mast hoisting crane) We put mine up with very little effort in about an hour. However my boat mover was very expert and kept me out of trouble. Make sure you have all pieces/parts handy and if you have a furler, make sure the end of the forestay protrudes out the end of the mast. Mine and retracted back into the mast and we had to get creative to retrieve it... it seems the block of plastic that clamped around my forestay (hood pro-furler) had broken and allowed it to move up into the mast. Also make sure you have already tested or rewired any lighting on the mast.
