Hunter 30T Madeira Beach, Florida
as a follow up to several posts I have placed on this board,
I am OVERJOYED to FINALLY Report that the Steering System our '84 Hunter 31' is Repaired, and Ready for the Sailing Season ahead,,,,

as discussed, it was the Aft Bearing that was "Choking" the shaft, and making Steering difficult at best,,, I replaced that with a Bronze, self oiling bearing, along with a new snap ring, and Roll Pin,,, ALL this aggravation and Frustration resolved with $11 worth of parts!!!!

I now consider myself the resident expert in Yacht Systems Steering, being intimate with every part and millimeter of the interior and exterior of the Pedestal, and all it's contents,,,, open to future consults

I REALLY want to THANK ALL of the Hunter Owners that responded with ENCOURAGING and INFORMATIVE Responses to my questions, and must make a very special Thanks to Bruce Bingham and the team at JSI in St. Petersburg for getting involved with assistance, for no other reason than just to help. They do realize that with Yacht Systems is out of business, and Edson is the only real source for replacement, but Edson would rather replace the entire system, than repair a perfectly operational one,,,,

anyway, Thanks to all!!!
