I have a noise isolated to the general area of the rudder post on my open wire steering system. Anyone out know of any lube joints or share a similar situation

Squeaking abrasion pads

I had a similar problem on my 94' Oceanis 351.I isolated it to wear/salt/dryness of the two white abrasion pads on the rudder post. I was able to quiet the assembly by spraying Teflon lubricant in between the pads. It has lasted for a year so far. If it reoccurs, I will use a heavier lubicant such as white lithium grease.
