Steering Pedestal earth

I am slowly loosing the coating from the bottom of the steering pedestal on my 34.Should there be a wire connecting it to earth under the cockpit. I have removed the quadrant cover in the aft cabin but cannot see an earth wire. Thanks Andrew

I can't remember (had my 34 11 years ago) for sure whether there was an earth (ground in US speack) connection, but it seems to me that it would be rather easy to add one

Andrew, only one part of these boats is grounded

It's the mast to the keel. Hunter bonded NOTHING.
