For some reason during the mid-2001 production run they switched from glassed in rudder stops to these wire rudder stops. Not sure why but I would guess this was a cheaper approach. I have a 2001 hull #65 and I have the glassed in rudder stops. My friend Andrew has a 2001 hull #120ish and he has the wires.
There were also changes in the bulkhead configuration as well. It appears that 2001 was the most popular year of this model. So they made some design changes along the way. Some seem better some seem worse.
The price we pay for production boats.

Hull 147 went through 3 iterations of rudder restraint over the first summer.
First was a central eyebolt/cable a padeye each side... pretty lame and the cable had too much slack and snagged. I never let the wheel go in reverse but anyone who might have would have caused severe damage
Second was a variation of this with repositioned padeyes and less slack.
Finally they did the glassed in wood blocks and central post.
One thing that I love about the 310 and 320 for that matter is the range of motion of the rudder. It was a pain working out the ratios so that the rudder position sensor didn't overtravel, but doing donuts in your own length is so worth it
