After haulout this fall I noticed about 12 very minor spots of rust on the keel. Should I do anything about this for next spring? I was thinking sanding down to the steel, re-gelcoat, and then bottom paint to finish. There are numerous 1/4" bumps that if I push will bleed out some nasty smelling fluid. It might mean that I refinish the entire keel. Comments and suggestions would be appreciated.
