Steaming Light

I have a 1992 33.5 and the steaming light burnt out. I went up the mast
and removed the two screws holding the fixture but didn't see how to get at the bulb. There wasn't any slack in the wiring. Do you need to get at the back of the fixture to change the bulb. It's a Perko vertical fixture.

Did you try to push the bulb and turn counterclockwise? Not sure of yours, but on my old perko light, when you remove the bezel and globe, the bulb sits in it's housing by means of tension on two studs on the bulb base.
