I found that if you have the Kubota part numbers, then you can get parts at the local Kubota dealer and don't have to buy Universal parts. Evidently, the local dealers don't have access to the marine part numbers. My block was a D-950.

I also have the D-950 on my Onan. For non-marine parts I use Dan @ SALES1@COUNTRYSALESANDSERVICE.COM

Hey Guys ..Im baaaaack because of a strange turn of events its taken awhile ..So we put a new head gasket etc on ..ran for 30 min ..worked great ..re torqued head ....now it starts up great every time but I am getting white smoke all of a sudden ..the first few times I ran it it smoked for a minute then went away ..now it has white smoke all the time.

You need to smell the exhaust. White smoke can be unburned diesel fuel or coolant. Did your engine overheat originally, causing this cooling system work? Did you check to see if the head and deck were flat before you put the new head gasket on? Have you repeated your test of removing the coolant cap to see if it changes anything?

How old is the fuel you're running?
