I have a 135 genny and some days i need a little more sail i want to put on a stay sail making it a cutter rig (removable) WITH A SHORT FOOT 8 .5 FOOT DO I NEED A BACK STAY MAST IS DECK STEPPED THANKS
If you are using this sail on a reach when the air is light, then you may be able to go without running backs. My recommendation is to contact a reputable rigger in your area and discuss with him your ideas and see what he would recommend.
