Stantion Base Bolt Attachment

Would anybody know how the stantion base bolts are secured on on Hunter 386 (or similar)? Are the bolts threaded into the fiberglass or is there a nut or some type of threaded nut plate? Access on the under side is covered by the ceiling panel.

I don't know about the 386 but on the H26 there is a threaded plate glassed in. I assume it is SS but it might be aluminum.

Same on my 1998 H430.
I assume it is Stainless since the bolts and nut are SS too. Hunter quality has shown me that they match metals.

Hunter did use aluminum plates, see the attached PDF regarding Hunter construction in the late 1990s. I have had this interview transcript a long time and can't remember where on the internet I found it, sorry.

Our 1989 Hunter 30 has aluminum plates inside the glass. I haven't removed the stantions but everything else on the boat seems to be done this way. It does lead to seized fasteners. I use an impact driver to loosen them and always use anti-seize when reinstalling after chasing the threads with a tap. No problems with this approach yet.

As a full Lin former Hunter dealer, if there are no known or seen inspection/access ports seen in the cabin, then the bolts are attached to embedded aluminum plates within the layers of fiberglass that were drilled and tapped first.
