Standing Rig Tension O'day 35

Hi Dave,
When I set up the rigging in the spring, I just followed the owner's manual. I don't have it front of me, but is basically described the process as making sure the stick was straight, and that the stays and shrouds were tight. The manual said that the lee shrouds should be a little loose at 15kt winds.
I'm not really sure how tight to make the forestay and backstay.

I used to own an O'Day 35 and was constantly bouthered by 'mast thrumming.' I tried all sorts of tension, and never was able to tune it out. According to a survey, when I sold the boat, I ended-up with the rig set too tight - and it still thrummed. (I used a Loos tension gauge to set tension, but unfortunately can't remember the final p.s.i.)
