Stains on the Ice Box Cover

My new to me '96 280 has some stains on the counter (ice box lid) that I can't manage to remove. Anyone had luck with this? Or have you replaced it with something else.

I have had success removing light brown stains from some of the interior fiberglass surfaces of my 1992 Hunter by using mineral spirits and a scotch brite sponge pad. Nothing else worked but this worked well.

What type of material is stained?

What type of material is stained? Is it fiberglass, formica etc?

I believe the icebox lid is a formica-type material. Have you tried . .

Soft Scrub? The admiral has also had success with a light application of Zud or a cleaner intended for fiberglass showers. Just me carefull since the surface is a cream color and not white.
