Stainless Steel Rivet Size for boom cap?

Does anyone know what size stainless steel rivets I need to secure the cap on the end of the boom on my 1983 Macgregor 25? I think they are most likely 3/16 diameter. Thanks

3/16ths should be plenty, but why stainless instead of aluminium?

Stainless would be stronger than aluminium. I believe they were stainless from the factory. But i could be wrong.
