Stainless sink stain help

In a bozo move  , I topped my batteries off and rested the turkey baster that I used in my sink. There are now unsightly black spotes from the battery acid in my sink. Is there any way to get these out? I scrubbed with soap, then vinegar to no avail. I bought some barkeepers friend sink cleaner and will try that later when I get back to the boat.
Any ideas appreciated. Thanks

you now have the right product, use it...

there is also a product on the market made specifically for cleaning sinks and glass stove tops called "Amaze" that removes stains from stainless sinks and heavy grime and burnt on grease from stovetops. it works exceptionally well...

You have the right product for sure. I sometimes use Comet, it is more aggressive than the Bar Keepers and sometimes a bit quicker.
Good luck, Bob
