I have it on the bumpers of my 66 GTO
We live on the wandward side and I only have a "tent" type car ort plus a cover. I have the car completely restored but the chrome job is not all that great compared to the original. It had started to get one or two spots of rust.I killed these with a phosporic based product (there is one called Misty here that may be even better). Then I neutralized, cleaned and put on a thick coat o fthe S.wax. The rust has not come back yet and the rest of the chrome seems well sealed.I put it down to the high resin content (excluding air) and the anti-oxidants that mop up oxygen that is trying to penetrate. I also have it on the painwork but had to wipe off half of it to get a suffiently thin film (paint does not absorb like old gelcoat).I'm working on a thinner, higher resin content "Superglaze" for paint, and new gelcoat. It's derived from the Swax formula so should be available quite soon.ThanksJim W
